What impressed me about your approach and teaching, Carrie, is your absolutely clear-headed, no bs communication of really great information. Most I’ve dealt with are knowledgeable and helpful, but front-load their own marketing so much that it seems like I’m buying their t-shirt and not career guidance. There’s always just one more thing to buy from them that actually tells me what I need to know. I bought your course because you were giving really good ideas away in your free courses. I’m enjoying this so far, but I’m really looking forward to your business & marketing advice. That’s the challenge for me — I spent 20+ years as a professional opera singer, an actor, and a musician, but I think I pretty much sucked at the marketing/business end. I’d like to change that!
Hi Carrie, I took the quiz twice because I really need to challenge myself with my answers, which is what I got the second time I took the quiz. I have been on this journey since 2019 here and there. I really want to take the next steps. I took the course today on an early Saturday Morning. and I had my 1st coaching with Alyson this past week….using my time wisely is the goal. Next is working on those resources for coaching.
As I listened and then took the assessment, I realize that I must challenge myself to put in more time and other resources into building this business. I want to be successful at this and have fun.
I got “Challenge yourself”. I am really grateful for the roadmap/check-list and the upcoming lessons in order to determine with more clarity how I can make the most of those hours that I do have at this time.
I got Be consistent. That’s definitely true for me. I’ve been starting and stopping for years. I will never progress past beginner stages until I am more consistent.
I got “Push Yourself.” Each week I will try to devote more time and resources to learning, practicing, and building my business. Love the grounded advice given in the lesson.
I have “Chalkenge Yourself”. And that makes sense. My currently working my FT job 10-12 hours day, plus I’m a caregiver. I think I will need to start placing time for the VO business on my calendar to devote that time.
I am so new to this I have no idea of what costs are typical start up costs for this business. I don’t know how to budget accordingly.
I was looking at the MXL 9090 cardiod or the rode ntk also the pop filter. Also getting ready to purchase a lap top and headphones.
I must re allocate my time more wisely. I’m a beginner and excited to start Correcting in the VO career
I am where Glynis James-Watson is. This is my first introduction to VO. But I am looking forward to learning and growing.
I don’t have a lot of money for a vocal coach yet, but I’m wondering if singing lessons can help?
Challenge yourself! That’s what I got from the quiz. That’s my desire and that’s my goal 🙂

Hi Carrie, I don’t see the assessment on here. Is that still apart of the course?
Hi Liz – you should be able to see it now! 🙂

Thank you! ^_^

I am new to voice over, and am taking this workshop to have a better understanding of the business side of it.

I’m just getting started, ready to time into getting business moving.
